Type of Approvals
NSW
Development Application - Not always applicable, Advises the town and neighbourhood of your development, Lists any special conditions you need to address, Turn around 6-8 weeks
Construction Certificate - How the building will be constructed, List various inspection points for quality control, This certificate doesn’t require council you can use a private surveyor, Turn around 2-3 weeks (Post Development Application)
Plumbing Certificate - Generally only requires 5 Types of inspections 1) Sewer, 2) Hot & Cold 3) Stormwater (commercial) 4) Fire services (commercial) 4) Final
Purpose is for quality control prior at various stages of plumbing works
Basixs - A report stating how you will meet the minimum energy requirement for you building. (Section J commercially)
VIC

Star Rating - All new homes, home renovations, alterations and additions need to comply with the Energy Efficiency provisions in the National Construction Code (NCC) which includes the option of complying with the 6 Star Standard.
The building surveyor represents both the builder & the client, They ensure the projects is certified to meet the relevant standards
